The Eberlestock Dragonfly J107 is no pack to  overlook.

It’s heavy duty loading and carrying system is awesome.  Very well suited for packing heavy loads, whether it be that monster bull or just your hunting equipment or clothing, this pack gets the job done. And comfortable at  the same time, which is what most outdoorsman are looking for!!

Packing a full frame sheet ensures the internal aluminum stays helps make for a very stable loading platform.  It’s got thick #10 zippers and a fully adjustable shoulder harness. It comes in Mossy Oak Brush, Mossy Oak Treestand, or Advantage Max1 NT1.

Only weighing 8.5 pounds, the Dragonfly J107 is dual hydration  compatible. One of the two hydration packs is located in the convertible  top  & fanny pack, which makes it a lot easier to access when you need it. The detachable  top storage can be used as three weather proof compartments.  Ventilated adjustable frame system aluminum contour  has plastic frame sheet. Has easy to use storage spaces. The revolutionary  pad lock system gives you the option of adding more accessories.  The big thick compression straps tighten down the load, so you don’t have to fight the pack coming out or going into the woods. Also can be used for strapping a bow or elk rack .  Made of NT-1, a very beefy  and waterproof fabric material that helps keep the pack quiet when going through bushes, etc.  The flex chassis holds a load very well on the internal frame pack, bundled into the pack and most of the weight going to your hips.  The gun scabbard tucks away into the bottom of the pack when not in use. Some of the accessories that will expand the pack up to 8,000 cubic inches include: daypack, bowpack or gun pack, meat & freight pack. 8,000 C.I. is huge!!! The Butt Bucket and the ripcord bowtether kit turn the J107 into a bowhunting pack. This is very convienient for the Bowhunters out there.

The 2 long side pockets are about 20" X 6"

** Note:  The main differences between the J107M and the J107H hunting pack are that the 'M' has a solid-nylon front when expanded (instead of the H's mesh panel), and the use of Cordura instead of our NT1 hunting fabric.  In addition, the "Big Mouth" J107M has a wider scabbard, for over-sized sniper rifles, and an interior radio pocket with antenna portals.

The newest member of the Just One family is at the leading edge of backpack design.  With all of the features of our other Just Ones, the Dragonfly raises the bar, featuring a high tech suspension system, a huge range of adjustability, and more patented and proprietary features than any hunting pack made.  A slate of premium features includes a full framesheet, which augments the internal aluminum stays to give a very stable load bearing platform, and a fully adjustable shoulder harness and beefy #10 zippers.  If you're thinking about a Just One pack, and feel that you'd be most comfortable with a firmer platform for carrying a heavy load, or if the vertically adjustable shoulder strap attachments appeal to you, choose a J107.

Available in Mossy Oak Brush, Realtree Hardwoods Gray or Advantage Max1 NT1 Waterproof Microfleece, or Earth Brown 1000 denier Cordura.  Wt. 8 lbs, 8 oz.

*To achieve the full capacity of a Just One type pack, attach a Spike Camp Duffel externally.      Spike Camp Duffels are sold separately.

The J107 has a look and a feel that demonstrates the level of detail that has gone into producing this product.  Some things you encounter in life are just "right."  We hope you'll feel this is one of them.

The removable top compartment has a pull-out waist belt, giving you the option of hunting with a generously sized, hydration compatible fanny pack.  This feature also allows you to minimize the size of the main pack.
The frame on the Dragonfly is simple, sophisticated, and extremely comfortable.  The main pad section rides directly on the contourable stays, and is adjustable to exactly fit the torso length of the wearer.  The pads have just the right amount of body contact, and an air space between these and the framesheet allows a great deal of ventilation, giving the pack the best advantages of both internal and external frame packs.  Click here to see more about adjusting the shape of the stays.

A note about the compression  straps and side loops on the Just One - type packs:

The compression straps on our packs are big and beefy for good reason.  We've seen grizzly skins and full body elk capes, and varied loads weighing as much as 177 lbs. attached to the exterior our packs using only these straps.  So they serve good purpose.  But their primary purpose, which is sometimes overlooked, is to compress the contents of the pack, so as to stabilize, compact, and quiet the load.  Think of it like tying your shoes.  If you don't snug them up, the results won't be as good as if you do.

Secondly, as the packs have evolved, we've added small webbing loops to the main panel of the pack, at the forward side of the scabbard layer, as shown in the photo at left.  These allow you to compress the scabbard layer if you choose to do so.  However, if your particular rig works better with the scabbard layer un-compressed (for example, to allow your rifle to slide in and out more easily), then just bypass the loops, and go directly around the pack.

The straps are long enough to go around a full Super Spike Duffel that's mounted to the outside of your pack.  If you find that you don't have enough length with the compression straps routed through the webbing loops, then again you will want to bypass the loops, and go directly around the pack, as shown at lower right.

The above two photos are a great display of the way that a Just One can have two very different natures.  At left, you have a close-fitting, behind-the-torso hunting pack.  At right, an 8000 cubic inch freighter; the same type of pack, just with a Super Spike Duffel aboard.

Combine the J107 with our ButtBucket and Ripcord Bowtether kit as shown here, and you've got a great bowhunter's pack!

This is a pretty good field shot of the harness side of the J107.  Two things to note:  ACST Accessory Straps are being used to both compress the top-cover compartment and to backup the Annex Clip attachments.  Secondly, the hydration tube is routed across the pack to the left shoulder strap, keeping the right side clean for a right-handed shooter.
